Cryan '15 Awarded Fulbright
to Greece

Jeanine Cryan '15 was named the recipient of a prestigious 2015-16 Fulbright U.S. Student Award to Greece, providing her a remarkable opportunity to serve as an English Teaching Assistant, while uniting her affinity of Greek culture and passion for education.

Nikolova '16 Interns at NASDAQ
Alexandrina Nikolova's '16 career goal is to work in the financial field for a big brand, fast-paced and highly energetic global leader. Over the summer of 2015, she received a trial run at NASDAQ, the second-largest stock exchange in the world by market capitalization.

"I work for AmeriCorps doing a combination of all the things I wanted to do when I first entered college, which is super exciting. I work for a non-profit organization in Detroit called the Detroit Food Academy. It is a food and social entrepreneurship after-school culinary program for high school students."

Students Launch Rocket at
NASA Event

A group of HWS physics students recently traveled to Wallops Island, Va., to test their research at the Colorado Space Grant Consortium RockSat-C program. At the program, which was part of NASA's Rocket Week, the group launched their research payload into sub-orbit from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility using an Orion Sounding Rocket. The rocket launched successfully at 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 25.
