Living and Learning at Harvard

| | Living away from home — especially if it's your first time — comes with many questions. From the moment you walk into Harvard Yard until you graduate, you will be surrounded by people dedicated to making Harvard your "home." | We believe the best way to foster lifelong friendships is through shared experiences. That's why all first-year students begin their journey living in one of Harvard's 17 freshman-only residences, located in or adjacent to Harvard Yard, the University's historic hub. | Watch "In the Harvard Houses." | Through dorm life, shared meals at Annenberg Dining Hall, and activities specially designed for freshmen, you'll quickly get to know the College and your classmates in a diverse community of students hailing from all 50 states and more than 80 countries, all of whom bring different backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives to campus. After your first year, you will enter one of 12 residential Houses, which create a small-college experience within a research university. Harvard's residential system contributes greatly to our 97% graduation rate. | | | | | | You can explore Harvard's vibrant campus and community with our virtual tour at any time, from any location. Student guides lead you through the places in which they live and learn, including dorm rooms, classrooms, Widener Library, the freshman dining hall, and more. | If you are nearby, come to campus to get the feel of everyday life at Harvard. Registration is optional for information sessions and tours. | | | | | | 86 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 617-495-1551 Harvard College Admissions 617-495-1581 Griffin Financial Aid Office
