Second-year environmental sustainability, health and safety student Caleb Novko tackled the snow and mud at the Winter Warrior obstacle course during RIT's winter themed festival, FreezeFest. The fundraiser, sponsored by Phi Kappa Psi and Sigma Chi, collected money for Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester.

RIT listed among top producers for Fulbright scholarships

RIT was named a top producer of prestigious Fulbright scholars among master's institutions for 2015-2016. The list was released Feb. 22 by the Fulbright organization and published in The Chronicle of Higher Education. The Fulbright prize, one of the most prestigious in academic circles, is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and promotes cultural exchanges with more than 140 countries. Thousands of students attend Spring Career Fair

Nicholas D'Avanzo, a second-year biomedical engineering major from Newton, N.J., was one of more than 4,000 RIT students and alumni who dressed in business attire, carried their resumes and attended the RIT Spring Career Fair on Wednesday. D'Avanzo waited patiently in line to speak with a representative from the FBI in hopes of landing a 10-week co-op. WiC Hacks event supports young women interested in computing and STEM fields

RIT's Women in Computing student organization hosted a free collaborative programming event, or hackathon. The goal was to create an inviting and encouraging environment for young women to explore the world of technology and develop the confidence needed to thrive in a competitive tech industry. During the two-day hackathon, teams worked together to create mobile apps, websites, games and other software that provide unique solutions to problems. The event was open to college and high school women of all skill levels—from those who have never programmed to coding experts. Read More >>
