Hello Diana! Happy New Year! As you are well aware, the deadlines for applying to college are fast approaching. (Remember, ours is January 10, 2017!) So we want to remind you to be aware of all deadline dates, not only for applications, but also for financial aid forms. The FAFSA is required for financial aid at all colleges and should be completed online as soon as possible if you have not already filed. You and your parents can access that form by going to the FAFSA website where you will also find step-by-step directions for completing the form. Many other private colleges and universities also require the CSS Profile for additional financial information. The application for that form is available on the College Board website. If you have any questions about financial aid, don't hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office at each of the colleges to which you are applying. In order to complete your applications, you should also be sure that your high school sends your first set of grades referred to as the Mid-Year Report. If you have already submitted your applications, congratulations! It will seem like a long wait for your decisions until the end of March or early April. But understand that admissions committees read each application several times in an effort to strive to put together interesting, talented, and vibrant freshmen classes. All colleges will want to see your final transcript in June, so make this last semester of high school a successful one. Good luck! Sincerely, Undergraduate Admissions American University Your AU ID is 4383774 |
