I wanted to share information with you about scholarships available to first-time, full-time freshmen at Christopher Newport University and encourage you to use our office as a resource during your college search and application process.

Review the list of scholarships below and visit our scholarships webpage for more information and how to apply for each scholarship:

• President's Leadership Program (PLP): For high-achieving students who have shown a passion for engagement while in high school and who demonstrate leadership potential.
  
  
• Honors Program: Features stimulating interdisciplinary seminar courses and requires at least two Honors inquiries chosen from study abroad, independent research, civic engagement or internships, and affords more academic freedom with the waiver of a substantial number of liberal arts core requirements.
  
  
• Riverside Medical Group Scholars: Chosen from among the top incoming Pre-Med Scholars; mentored by Riverside Health System physicians with clinical experiences through summer medical rotations, as well as other medical education activities.
  
  
• Rocovich Scholars: Selected from students admitted to PLP, who have indicated pre-med as their intended field of study.
  
  
• Ferguson Enterprises Performing Arts Scholarships: Awarded to outstanding students based on special talent and potential demonstrated during audition performance.
  
  
• Bonner Service Scholars Program: A four-year developmental program that educates, equips and inspires students to engage our local community and beyond through a partnership with the national Bonner Foundation.
  
  
• Biotechnology and Management Program:For students admitted to the Honors Program who are interested in majoring in one of the life sciences and minoring in business.
