Dear Diana,

This past Saturday, tens of thousands of Harvard students, alumni, and fans gathered in the oldest stadium in the country to watch one of the longest-standing rivalries in US football: The Harvard-Yale football game.

This time, in a surprise upset, Yale defeated Harvard for the first time in ten years. It's games like this that truly make our most time-honored traditions come to life.

Athletics at Harvard

Harvard has the nation's largest Division I athletics program with 42 varsity sports, 63 club sports, and dozens of intramural programs organized by House. In fact, Nearly 80% of Harvard students are involved in some kind of athletics! With a broad array of wellness and recreation programs and facilities, it's easy to make athletics and physical fitness a regular part of your Harvard experience.

We hope you consider applying to Harvard where you could be a part of these rich traditions and our exciting future. If you're working on your application over the Thanksgiving weekend be sure to reference our application requirements and tips. As always, if the application fee is a concern, request a fee waiver and we will respond.

We wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

William Fitzsimmons
Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid
