Dear Diana, Now that you've heard from us about Cornell Business and the application process, we want you to hear from current students about the academic experience. Below are profiles of two students, Claire Benninger in the School of Hotel Administration (SHA) and Zach Leighton in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson). Claire is from Hillsborough, California. She notes that being a "Hotelie" means joining one of the most well connected and integrated communities in the industry. And the Hotelie community is not something you're a part of just for your four years at Cornell; it is something you'll be a part of for a lifetime. In her time at Cornell, Claire was able to participate in an internship at Hersha Hospitality Trust. This internship had a significant impact on her career goals and clarified what she is looking for as she plans her next steps in the industry. Now, Claire knows that she'll seek out companies like Hersha that foster learning and development for all team members. Zach is from Jericho, New York, and is a recent graduate of Cornell's Dyson School. While at Cornell, Zach pursued a concentration in finance and marketing and completed internships at the White House and JP Morgan Chase. He hopes to use his business education to find solutions to problems facing the private and public sectors. Zach now works full-time for Ernst & Young. He says one thing that made Dyson so special was the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature unique to such a competitive business program. We hope hearing from students allows you to see for yourself all that Cornell Business has to offer. Please feel free to ask questions and continue to learn more! Sincerely, Shawn L.
