Hi Diana,
Christopher Newport University's Early Decision deadline is almost here. If you know CNU is a good fit for you, applying Early Decision will give you the best chance for admission. At Christopher Newport we have three application priorities — Early Decision, Early Action and Regular Decision.
Applying Early Decision demonstrates your passion and commitment to Christopher Newport and we take that into account when reviewing your application. Early Decision applicants will be among the first students considered for the President's Leadership Program, the Honors Program and other scholarships. Also, your college search ends earlier so you can enjoy your last semester of high school knowing you'll be attending one of the finest universities in America. When you apply early decision you are committing to attend. This means that if accepted, you will withdraw your applications from all other institutions.
Like Early Decision, Early Action applicants benefit from early notification, but they do not have to make a commitment to attend. Regular Decision is the last round of review. Keep in mind that a higher percentage of students will be admitted through Early Decision and Early Action, so Regular Decision will be the most competitive. Students initially deferred through Early Decision and Early Action will be given preference over Regular Decision applicants when they provide updated academic information, such as first semester senior year grades and new SAT or ACT scores.
IMPORTANT DATES |
Application Plan | Deadline to Apply | Notification Date |
