Dear Diana:
At Boston University, our professors aren't just going to lecture you in class. They will engage you, encourage you, inspire you, challenge you--and include you in their research.
Take for example R. Glynn Holt, an associate professor of mechanical engineering, who served as a faculty mentor to David Baylies (ENG'17). Through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), David spent his summer combining his two passions--music and engineering--to build a better electronic trumpet.
Or Assistant Professor Linda Sprague Martinez, who worked with Marlene Kalb (CAS'16) to examine the impacts of gentrification on the health of Dominican immigrants in Boston.
