I wanted to share information about our Early Action deadline and encourage you to use me as a resource during your college search and application process. Christopher Newport University is a very special place and our "Students First" philosophy means we'll do everything we can to help you, including assisting you during your admission experience.

As you get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday I want to remind you that our December 1, Early Action application deadline is fast approaching. Now's the perfect time to apply to Christopher Newport!

There are several benefits to submitting an Early Action application:

  • You will receive our admission decision by January 15, two months earlier that our Regular Decision applicants.
  • You will be given priority consideration for our merit-based scholarships through the President's Leadership Program and the Honors Program.
  • You do not have to make a commitment to attend and therefore maintain the flexibility of considering several schools after acceptance.

Our acceptance rate decreases as we pass each notification date, so you may be more competitive for Early Action admission than Regular Decision.

Regular Decision February 1 March 15
