Job Outlook to 2022 for Today's College Graduate

RIT is thrilled to share the latest updates to our joboutlook.rit.edu website! This project represents RIT's on-going effort to provide concise career guidance information to students who are interested in exploring the relationship between career opportunities and college preparation. The site also includes outcomes data for RIT's Class of 2015. Trending career outcome data suggest demand for RIT graduates remains very strong. Over the past three years the overall outcome rate for RIT graduates in all degree programs averaged 95%.

The graph above shows anticipated growth among 8 different career areas and is based on U.S. Department of Labor data. The job outlook website features entry requirements for nearly 70 occupational titles requiring a college degree and also features outcome and placement data for RIT degree programs, graduate starting salary information, and details our hiring partners as well. New AMPrint Center will raise the bar on 3D printing methods and applications

3D-printed circuit board patterns processed in milliseconds and using a fraction of the electricity. Flexible solar cells that can be integrated into wearable technologies. An inner-ear drug delivery system consisting of small, powerful 3D-printed sensors. This is some of the innovative work underway at the New York State Center for Advanced Technology in Additive Manufacturing and Multifunctional Printing, or AMPrint Center, which officially opens in RIT's Institute Hall this month. The center brings together university and corporate researcher-scientists to advance two industries that the region is noted for—printing and imaging— in a way that will significantly impact manufacturing in New York state and the nation. State Department extremism competition winners recognized for "Fight Against Online Hate"

Students from RIT who won a State Department competition for using online social media to combat terrorism attended a star-studded gala to receive the Fight Against Online Hate award for their work. The dinner and awards ceremony, held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, honored 12 individuals and groups for their extraordinary contributions to the global campaign against violent extremism. The event was emceed by CNN Lead Political Anchor Wolf Blitzer. The evening included a posthumous tribute to Elie Wiesel by Ambassador Ronald Lauder in the presence of Marion Wiesel. Read More >>

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian headlines Saunders College Gasser lecture series

Alexis Ohanian is the 33-year-old co-founder of the website Reddit, the travel search engine Hipmunk, and the online geek-boutique Breadpig. The tech startup entrepreneur says, "With fewer products being produced in the U.S., it is innovation coming from dorm rooms and garages that will continue generating wealth and jobs for the next generation." Ohanian, who has more than 80 tech startups under his portfolio, is the keynote speaker for the Saunders College of Business Gasser Lecture Series at RIT. Read More >>
