Cornell University - Undergraduate Admissions Office
Greetings from Cornell University!

We are writing to provide a quick reminder about our SAT and ACT requirements. All first-year applicants to Cornell are required to take either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT. Cornell University does not require the Writing section of the SAT or ACT for students applying for freshman admission. In addition, each of Cornell's undergraduate colleges and schools has specific SAT Subject Test requirements as follows:

     • Agriculture and Life Sciences: SAT Subject Tests are not required

     • Architecture, Art, and Planning: SAT Subject Tests are not required

     • Arts and Sciences: Two subjects of your choice

     • Engineering: Mathematics (any level) and a science

     • College of Business
» Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management:
SAT Subject Tests are not required
      »School of Hotel Administration:
SAT Subject Tests are not required

     • Human Ecology: SAT Subject Tests are not required

     • Industrial and Labor Relations: SAT Subject Tests are not required

Cornell does not participate in score choice and requires all scores be sent to us directly from the testing agency. For questions about the new SAT, please visit our New SAT FAQ page.

Please feel free to ask us questions at MeetEzra.

We wish you the best of luck!
