Diana, We offer merit- and need-based aid to make the Rice experience accessible to all who are eligible. Both forms of assistance are available for Early and Regular Decision applicants. Recipients of merit scholarships are high impact students who distinguish themselves scholastically and personally within our competitive group of admitted students. The Lone Star Scholarship, awarded exclusively to students admitted Early Decision to Rice, is a $10,000 per year award renewable for four years. Up to 30 students in the Class of 2021 will receive this award at the time of their admission notification in mid-December. There is no extra application or nomination process to be considered. At Rice, admission decisions are need-blind and we meet 100% of demonstrated need for all admitted U.S. citizens, permanent residents, DACA students, and undocumented students. Financial aid application instructions are available on our website. Take advantage of Rice's full complement of educational and financial opportunities by selecting Rice as your first choice through the Early Decision plan. Be Decisive. Choose Rice. Sincerely,
Julie M. Browning Dean for Undergraduate Enrollment |
