We know one thing for you is certain — college is just around the corner. The question now is, "What next?" Visiting the schools you're considering is the best way to know if you're ready to add them to your list. We've got some great tips for planning your campus visits!

Plan Ahead. Get it right.

In addition to a campus tour, consider the following activities while visiting college campuses:

• Drive around the campus and surrounding area – make sure you enjoy the neighborhood!
• Ask to observe a class or meet with a professor. Do the classroom size, teaching style, and environment match your learning style?
• Eat lunch in the cafeteria. You're going to be eating on campus a lot – explore the dining options. Plus, you'll likely get to meet current students, too!
• Explore campus on your own.
• Talk to anyone you meet – professors, bookstore employees, students – you'll gain some great insight into the campus culture.
