Dear reader, forgive me: I cannot resist sharing just one more commentary from the fellow known only as "el gato malo," who was so solid during Covid and who still has much of value to say.
He writes:
I am coming to the conclusion that the reason that so many of these college students so rabidly hated Charlie is not because of what he said when he was holding the mic but rather what he asked them to say when he handed the mic to them.
There's a stunning incoherence to their views. So angry, so confident, so entitled, and so completely, utterly unable to explain why or what they even believe.
Never have so many known so little and yet felt so certain about so much.
There is no capacity for critical thinking or discourse, not even a basic semantic grasp of the concepts.
It's just an entitlement-flavored word salad spewed forth as some talismanic claim to deference and respect.
The greatest vulnerability of the marxist midwiped is being asked to explain what they are talking about.
Ask what their magic words mean, why they use them, what they signify, how the problems and processes they posit work.
Ask how they would do things.
Ask what they are asking for.
The results are amazing.
Here's another example of the results he has in mind: yet another exchange between a college student and a representative of TPUSA.
A young black woman stepped to the mic, and this exchange ensued:
Young Person: Where are reparations?
TPUSA Person: Are you a slave?
Young Person: No, I’m not a slave.
TPUSA Person: Am I a slaver?
Young Person: No.
TPUSA Person: Why would I give you my money? That is insane.
Young Person: We just want to be treated equally. We're clearly not being treated equally.
TPUSA Person: You just said, "Where are my reparations?" Do you believe you deserve my money because I’m white?
Young Person: We’re not asking you for money. We’re asking for basic human rights.
TPUSA Person: Listen, if you are black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever it is in this country, you have just as many rights as me as a white person. You can do anything you want, and you can come up to this mic and speak your mind and have freedom of speech.
By the way, she inserts dramatic pauses between the words "basic...human...rights."
What possible "basic human rights" could she think she lacks -- in the United States, of all possible countries!
To the contrary, not only is the TPUSA guy correct and she has all the rights he has, but she also is the recipient of official and unofficial special privileges of all kinds. It would be tedious to list them all.
Given the way American society functions nowadays, if she is even somewhat competent, the world is this girl's oyster -- and yet she thinks she needs to be out demanding her "basic...human...rights."
Campus "activists," as a general rule, are robotically repeating some gobbledygook they heard somewhere, and if you peel back even one layer there's nothing there.
Now as I mentioned yesterday, there are bad robots and there are good robots. The bad ones are these campus doofuses. Their slogans and idiocy make society worse, and give us more work to do.
The good ones are the GrokBots, who just do what you tell them, and give you less work to do.
Yesterday you saw my business partner demonstrate how he uses his, and everyone agreed it was astonishing.
Your own team of robots, following your instructions, while you live your life. It is an entrepreneur's dream.
We've got a free replay up but it will not last the weekend -- nor will the preposterously good offer attached to it:
