The Gift of Art Making

Dear Diana,

While we are not able to gather in person this spring – one of the things that we look forward to the most in Admissions – we can do something that we care about just as much – share the gift of making art.

Jason Dunda, Chicago-based painter, SAIC alum and professor in our first-year program, has put together a series of three 5-minute videos about collage making we think you'll like.

PART I: Materials

PART II: Technique

PART III: History + Context

We hope you enjoy and are inspired.

Show us what you make at #SAICatHome, and maybe we can talk Jason into showing us how to make a tripod out of bookends, a stool, and some paper clamps. You can check out Jason's work at jasondunda.com.
