Rice University is No. 6 in the nation for "Best Value" among private universities, according to rankings released this month by Kiplinger. Rice has consistently placed among the top six on Kiplinger's list because of our performance on factors including academic quality, low student-faculty ratio (6-to-1), a reasonable price tag, and generous financial aid and merit scholarships.

All admitted students will have 100% of their demonstrated need met. For families whose income is $80,000 or less, we meet 100% of need without student loans. For those with incomes above $80,000 who demonstrate need, we meet 100% of need with loans not to exceed $10,000 over four years. We also offer merit-based aid and a deferred payment plan.
