Dear Diana,

Providing support to our students is a top priority for all programs at Brandeis. We understand that forming relationships with current students who share similar experiences and interests will provide lifelong benefits for you well beyond your years at Brandeis.

I am writing to share with you more about Brandeis International Business School's student mentor program. This program is available to Brandeis IBS Scholars pursuing a 5-year BA/MA in International Economics and Finance. These student mentors will advise you in making academic and career decisions, as well as help answer questions about the program or offer guidance in finding summer internship placements. This year’s mentors majored in subjects ranging from economics to psychology; one studied abroad in Shanghai, another was a club volleyball team co-president, and one interned in the marketing department at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Their combined experiences are vast and showcase just how broad the opportunities can be for Brandeis IBS Scholars.

If you want to explore the full range of academic pursuits, research, and extracurricular activities at Brandeis while engaging in the study of international business, our 5-year BA/MA program might be the right fit for you. If this program is something in which you're interested, I urge you to apply. No separate application is required. To be considered for direct admission to the Brandeis IBS Scholars Program, simply indicate your interest when you apply to Brandeis by answering “yes” to the related question on our application supplement. Our January 1 deadline is quickly approaching!

If you have any questions about this program, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally.

Best,

Doug Nevins '11
Assistant Director
