Dear Diana,

Christopher Newport University's application deadlines are fast approaching, and I want to make sure you have all the information you need to apply.

Whether you are considering Early Decision, Early Action or Regular Decision, the steps are essentially the same, just with different deadlines:

Your application will be considered complete and ready for review once you:

• Complete your Common Application and submit by the appropriate deadline along with the $65 non-refundable application fee (if seeking a fee waiver submit an official College Board, ACT or NACAC Fee Waiver Request signed by high school counselor who can attest to a financial hardship).
• Submit your most recent official high school transcript electronically through the Common Application website.
• Have your SAT and/or ACT scores sent directly to CNU (unless you qualify to apply test-optional). CNU's SAT code is 5128; our ACT code is 4345.

Along with completing your application we also recommend that you:

• Submit teacher evaluations in a core subject (English, social studies, foreign language, mathematics or science).
• Schedule an interview with a member of the admission staff.
• Schedule a visit to campus.
• Have your guidance counselor submit a School Report Form electronically through the Common Application website.
• If you plan to apply for financial aid or scholarship, submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by the preferred deadline of December 15 or the priority deadline of March 1.
