Become a Cardinal and STAND OUT.

250 words.  That's all!

What does Otterbein look for in the student essay anyway?  Part of your application is submitting a 250 word essay.  This is one part of the application where you can really showcase who you are as a student and what aspirations you have for your future.

Some tips to keep in mind:

  • Write about something you know.  We want to get to know you, who you are and what you makes you STAND OUT!  Don't write about what you think we want to hear.
  • Be honest and concise.
  • Make sure it is grammatically correct.
  • Have someone else read it over and proofread for you.

We will use your essay submission to give us a better idea of who you are and what scholarships you may qualify for, so give yourself time to do your best work.
