Dear Diana,

We are now accepting applications to fall 2017 admission to USC. You can add USC to your Common App list automatically by visiting admission.usc.edu/commonapp.

I encourage you to familiarize yourself with our application requirements soon. Planning ahead will help you avoid being pressed for time, so you can submit your best work in the application. You will notice the USC Writing Supplement will take time to complete. Also, some majors have additional requirements such as portfolios or auditions, and require you to submit your application by the December 1 deadline.

Please note the deadlines below. This is especially important because some of these will not be displayed on the Common App dashboard.

December 1, 2016:

USC Merit Scholarship Deadline:
All first-year applicants meeting this deadline will be considered for USC Merit Scholarships. Other USC scholarships sponsored by organizations outside the Office of Admission may require separate applications and have different deadlines. For a complete list of scholarships, please visit admission.usc.edu/scholarships.

Application Deadline for These Schools and Programs:
School of Cinematic Arts
School of Dramatic Arts
Thornton School of Music
Kaufman School of Dance
Iovine and Young Academy
World Bachelor in Business program, Marshall School of Business

January 15, 2017:

Final first-year application deadline for all other programs.
