Rice ranks No. 1 for Happiest Students
Wednesday, August 31, 2016
|
| Diana, Rice is once again ranked No. 1 in the nation for "Happiest Students" by the Princeton Review. In addition, Rice maintained the No. 1 spot for "Lots of Race/Class Interaction" for the second year in a row, reaffirming that the diversity of perspectives found on campus is a valuable part of a Rice education. In all, Rice landed on several Princeton Review lists, including “Best Quality of Life” (No. 9) where Rice has appeared in the top ten every year since 2007. Other rankings include "Colleges that Pay You Back" (No. 9), "Best Career Placement" (No. 12), “Best Financial Aid” (No. 16), and “Best Health Services” (No. 20). The rankings reflect what Rice students experience every day. In assessing these accolades, students point to Rice’s supportive and collaborative community. They enjoy small classes, access to faculty and unsurpassed experiential learning opportunities. They also benefit from Rice’s distinctive residential college system, a cornerstone of the undergraduate experience, which fosters close bonds between students across class years and academic disciplines. Choose a college where students come first. Be decisive. Choose Rice. Sincerely,
Julie M. Browning Dean for Undergraduate Enrollment | | |

Applying to Cornell's College of Business
|
Dear Diana, Cornell's new College of Business (a.k.a Cornell Business) offers the combined strength of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and Cornell's School of Hotel Administration. Applying to either program is a straightforward process. On the Common Application or the Universal College Application, you'll be asked to identify the Cornell college or school to which you are applying: - Business – School of Hotel Administration (Major: Hotel Administration)
- Business – Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Major: Applied Economics and Management), or
- Agriculture and Life Sciences (Major: Applied Economics and Management)
Note that the Dyson School (Applied Economics and Management) is jointly located in the College of Business and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. You may apply through either college; both pathways lead to the same pool of applicants. If you're still considering the many ways to explore business at Cornell, I encourage you to check out our Preparing for the Business World website. And of course if you have questions, we're here to help. Sincerely, Shawn Felton Director of Undergraduate Admissions P.S. – For more information about applying, be sure to review the Application Checklist and the Freshman Admissions Requirements Chart. |
