Cornell University - Undergraduate Admissions Office

Dear Diana,

Cornell's new College of Business (a.k.a Cornell Business) offers the combined strength of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and Cornell's School of Hotel Administration. Applying to either program is a straightforward process. On the Common Application or the Universal College Application, you'll be asked to identify the Cornell college or school to which you are applying:

  • Business – School of Hotel Administration (Major: Hotel Administration)
  • Business – Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Major: Applied Economics and Management), or
  • Agriculture and Life Sciences (Major: Applied Economics and Management)

Note that the Dyson School (Applied Economics and Management) is jointly located in the College of Business and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. You may apply through either college; both pathways lead to the same pool of applicants.

If you're still considering the many ways to explore business at Cornell, I encourage you to check out our Preparing for the Business World website. And of course if you have questions, we're here to help.

Sincerely,

Shawn Felton
Director of Undergraduate Admissions

P.S. – For more information about applying, be sure to review the Application Checklist and the Freshman Admissions Requirements Chart.
