| Thank you for your interest in NSU! Some students do not decide on a program of study or a career path to follow until after they enter college, and many change their minds more than once during their undergraduate years. If you're undecided about a major field of study, faculty and staff can help you through the process of choosing a career path and selecting an appropriate program. Explore your options During your first few semesters, investigate potential majors with professors in various departments. Select courses that fulfill general education requirements and introduce you to majors that interest you. Get involved Outside of your classes you can also become clearer about your strengths, interests, and skills through active participation in campus and community activities. While you are deciding on a major, take advantage of programs that stimulate creative and intellectual discovery or that give you insight into the best career path for you. As you proceed through the decision-making process, ask yourself specific questions: What are my interests? What are my career goals? What graduate degrees or certifications are required beyond the undergraduate degree in order to succeed in the careers that interest me? Keep in mind - choosing a major is an exciting part of the college experience. Sincerely, The Office of Undergraduate Admissions | |
