“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing” — Ben Franklin

Dear Diana,

Penn’s founder Ben Franklin probably wasn’t referring to the college essay when he dispensed this wisdom—but we suspect he would agree that the essay is an opportunity to share who you are.

To that end, we’re revealing our essay question a little early this year so that you can have the summer to reflect—and to explore potential paths at Penn. (As you do, check out my writing tips.)

With our best wishes for a wonderful summer,
