Seniors decorated their caps for graduation in the SAU Fireside Lounge during Senior Week. Psychology major Zoie Alexander from Stamford, CT, puts some finishing touches on her cap, thanking her parents. Lettering, glitter, glue and snacks were provided by RIT College Activities Board.

RIT to host SAE Baja World Challenge

Off-road racing is back at RIT this summer as the university hosts 100 collegiate race car teams from around the world at the 2016 SAE Baja World Challenge June 9-12. This is the sixth time RIT has hosted one of the Society of Automotive Engineers' student design and racing competitions that takes place at the university and at Hogback Hill Motocross Track in Palmyra, NY. More than 1,200 student-engineers, who designed and built off-road vehicles, are expected for the event that will consist of hill and rock climbs, acceleration and maneuverability challenges and a four-hour endurance race. The reality of working in a fantasy world

Since she was 11 years old, Jackie Wiley has dreamed of recreating the dramatic fantasy realms in her family's favorite video game, World of Warcraft. Wiley's dream becomes a reality when she begins her full-time job with Blizzard Entertainment, the monster game development and publishing company behind World of Warcraft, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and the Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo franchises. Wiley, a native of Flanders, NJ, graduates from RIT in May with her bachelor's degree in game design and development. Read More >>

Honors experience earns top grades

Getting into—and staying in—an honors program is no walk in the park. That's why the 100 students graduating this May from RIT's undergraduate Honors Program are so excited to wear the well-earned academic orange stole that says to the world, "I did it." Honors Council President Erin Downs of Pittsburgh, PA, is graduating with a dual degree in environmental sustainability, health and safety management from the College of Applied Science and Technology. She's held almost every position in the Honors Program and is very proud of serving two years as chairperson of the Service Committee—helping community efforts like Foodlink, Habitat for Humanity, and Mary's Place.
