We Dare You to Get Personal.
Wednesday, February 24, 2016
| Dear Diana, | | With Bucknell University’s low 9:1 student-faculty ratio, you’ll get to know your professors personally as they challenge you to do your best. | | | | Our students connect with faculty in class, at the coffee shop, in the lab, at the studio and at events and talks all around campus. Some examples: The Residential Colleges. Faculty members mentor each of the themed halls in this first-year student program that brings students and faculty together around topics including the arts, the environment, global matters, the humanities, languages and cultures, science, social justice and society and technology. These professors join weekly common hours, field trips and special projects. Research Opportunities. Our professors often involve undergraduates in their scholarly research and creative projects. If you choose Bucknell, you can pursue hands-on experience in the lab, the studio or the field. Your faculty mentors will be ready to advise you when you have questions, push your intellectual boundaries and encourage you to work independently as you grow. Service-Learning. Many of our professors link students’ coursework with outside initiatives meeting a community need. Through service-learning, you can apply concepts and methods, better understand your field of study and gain a sense of civic responsibility — all with a faculty member by your side.
Confirm your information to learn more about Bucknell’s faculty members and the ways in which they will dare you to connect with your community. Sincerely, Robert G. Springall Dean of Admissions | |
