As you are making your final decisions on where to apply, we wanted to make sure you knew about all the weird and wonderful things Simmons has to offer: 

We are urban beekeepers! 
By installing an active bee hive on campus, our Sustainability Club is helping to combat a worldwide depletion of honey bees while providing an educational opportunity on campus. If you are worried about being stung, fear not! Unless you are a flower, these bees will not bother you.

We are movie stars! 
In the movie "Mona Lisa Smile," there is a scene featuring a May Pole dance which happens to be one of our oldest traditions. Simmons students were asked to perform the traditional dance for the movie because none of the crew knew how to do it! 

We are Sharks! 
...But before we had Stormy, our school mascot was a thunderbolt. Student athletes felt like that didn't really "fit" so they took it upon themselves to find a fierce new mascot. 

We are Leaders! 
For 38 years, we have sponsored the Simmons Leadership Conference which is considered to be the premier women's leadership conference in the world. In fact, it was so successful that we recently expanded the conference internationally to Berlin!
