Diversity in Admissions Program | |||||
At Hobart and William Smith Colleges we are committed to fostering a community that is open and inclusive for all students. We believe that that the student experience is enriched by having different perspectives and lived experiences within our community. As part of our commitment to diversity and access, we invite you to join us at our Diversity in Admissions Program on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn more about how students live and learn on our campus. While this program is open to everyone, we encourage first generation students as well as students from historically underrepresented groups, such as African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, and Asian American backgrounds to attend. In an effort to promote economic diversity, we also encourage students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to attend. Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to hear from and interact with a variety of HWS community members including faculty, current students, and staff. A tour of campus, admissions interviews and the opportunity to speak with admissions staff will also be available. Tentative programming for the day is outlined below.
Registration is required prior to the event. Please contact the Office of Admissions at (315) 781-3622 or admissions@hws.edu to register or learn more about the program. You may also register yourself online. If you are not able to make it to campus for this event, please contact your admissions counselor to discuss other opportunities. Thank you for your continued interest in Hobart and William Smith Colleges. We hope to see you on campus soon! Sincerely, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Office of Admissions |
