Pitzer Values Student Engagement

Dear Diana, Pitzer students do not just shape their own experiences at the College; as active members of our governance structure, they actively re-shape the Pitzer experience for future generations of students. Click the image below to find out what Student Engagement means to our students:
Every one of Pitzer’s executive committees must have at least one student as a full voting member so the student voice is never lost in discussions about faculty hiring, curriculum planning and infrastructure development. Our Student Senate promotes and enhances student engagement and campus life by upholding Pitzer’s core values and increasing the quality of students’ educational experiences. In April 2014, Pitzer student leaders successfully championed a motion to make Pitzer the first West Coast college to divest – that is, we pulled our stocks and bonds out of fossil fuel companies in solidarity with environmental sensitivity. You can find out more about Pitzer’s Climate for Change by clicking on the video link below:
Our students are forward-thinking, and use their Pitzer experience to hone effective leadership qualities for their future careers. We know that your leadership skills will be a boon to the Pitzer community, and we hope that you will be an active participant in the College’s leadership structure.
