The Politics, Policy & Law Program (PPL) at American University's School of Public Affairs (SPA) is a rigorous course of study designed for outstanding entering freshmen passionate about public policy. The program allows first-year SPA students to enroll in a three-year BA program with a 12-month academic calendar.

One of the many benefits of the program is the opportunity to work closely with SPA faculty who teach and publish in the areas of politics, policy, and law. Students will also live in the same learning community with their cohort and will take one class together most semesters.
