Hawai'i Pacific University | | Aloha Diana, Kiana knows Hawai'i. | Born and raised in Honolulu, she knew what to expect when attending Hawai'i Pacific University. "Instead of staying with people from high school, I wanted to meet new people. One of the things that caught my eye was the amount of international students that attend HPU!" And she's right! HPU attracts students from across the globe. We're #1 in diversity for a reason – students from 65 countries and all 50 states live, study, and play at HPU. Kiana credits HPU's New Student Orientation for helping to make her transition from high school to university life smooth. "What made [the transition] easier was orientation week because you meet a group of people that usually have the same major as you and it was easy to find things in common. Another thing was that people were very friendly and welcoming and I got the hang of everything at least after the first week of classes!" Whether you are born and raised in Hawai'i, or new to the state, the Aloha Spirit quickly becomes a part of your experience. At HPU we're known for our friendly, welcoming atmosphere. When asked who would best fit at HPU, Kiana summed it up nicely, "We are very diverse. Everyone here is very friendly, kind, relaxing, and fun." Want to learn more about Hawai'i and HPU?
