Dear Diana, Student experience and outcomes take the front seat in a new college ranking launched today by The Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education — a ranking that places Purdue in the top 5 of U.S. public universities. Promoting itself as a new approach to gauging the quality of higher education, the ranking focuses on a "4C" model that measures institutions across four core competencies:
The ranking is based on a survey of over 100,000 college students as well as measures such as student debt, graduation rates, alumni earnings, spending on classroom instruction and professors' classroom and research productivity. Its sponsors approached the assessment with an emphasis on what matters most to students: are they likely to get a job after graduation and will they be able to pay off any student debt? College is one of the most important investments you'll make in your lifetime. And as an institution so focused on student and alumni success, Purdue offers an educational experience that will provide lifelong returns. Don't miss our November 1 deadline. Apply to Purdue. Sincerely, Mitch Warren Director of Admissions | ||||
