Did you know? Hawai'i joined the United States just 57 years ago in 1959. Six years later, we opened our doors and we've been welcoming students like you ever since. Every year we celebrate Admission Day on the third Friday in August to mark the day Hawai'i was admitted to the union.

Many government offices and services are closed on Admission Day, but HPU will be open to receive your application to join our HPU 'ohana.

We want to include you in the celebration with a special gift: On August 19th we're waiving the application fee for one day only! Apply by 11:59pm HST and use the code "Admission Day", and your fee will be waived.
