Hello from Hobart and William Smith!
My name is Jacqueline DeLaFuente and I am the admissions counselor responsible for working with students and reading applications from your school. I hope that your summer is off to a great start and you are considering Hobart and William Smith Colleges as you arrange college visits. HWS provides prospective students a variety of opportunities to visit campus as outlined below. Each type of visit allows you to interact with the HWS community on a personal level, giving you an insider's look at what your four year experience at HWS could be like.
 
Summer Open Houses
Saturdays, July 23, August 6, and August 20 and Monday, September 5
Open houses consist of student and faculty panels, a tour of campus, and the ability to interview with an admissions staff member. Typically, each event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. REGISTER NOW for a Summer Open House.

Preview Visits
Monday- Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
This is a great introduction into what the Colleges have to offer through interaction with HWS Admissions Counselors and current students. Each Preview Visit includes an information session led by a member of the Admissions Staff. This is immediately followed by a tour of campus by one of our students. REGISTER NOW for a Preview Visit.

Admissions Interviews
Available on campus Monday - Saturday immediately preceding or following preview visit and open house programming. 
Interviewing is a key component of a successful application. I highly encourage all of my applicants to complete an interview as it is a good opportunity for you to learn more about HWS and for me to get to know you. If you plan to apply for the Trustee or Blackwell Scholarship, a personal interview with Admissions is required.
 
I will also be hosting interviews and information sessions off campus this summer. If you cannot make it to campus in the coming months, I hope you will reach out to schedule a meeting closer to home.
