Make the most of your AP experience.
Why take AP?
Dear Diana,
After working hard in an AP class, you'll get the opportunity to demonstrate what you've learned on an AP® Exam. If you are in an AP course, here's how to make the most of your AP Exam experience:
The basics: Learn what an AP Exam is like.
Dates: Find out when each AP Exam is held.
Policies: Make sure you understand AP Exam security policies.
Practice questions: Prepare using questions from past exams.
Earning credit for your AP scores
When you take an AP Exam and score a 3 or higher, you can earn valuable college credit, advanced placement, or both from your college. This can give you the flexibility to move into upper-level college courses sooner, pursue a double major, or study abroad.
Connect to college through AP Exams
When you take an AP Exam, be sure to say "yes" to Student Search Service®. Student Search is a free program that shares your name with colleges and universities who are looking for students just like you. They will send you information about their campuses, admission criteria, and financial aid.
Sincerely,
Advanced Placement Program
