Harvard College

Diana,

Students at Harvard have immediate access to some of the world's greatest scholars in an academic environment that encourages intellectual discovery and personal fulfillment. There are limitless opportunities to follow your academic curiosities, with the support of academic advisors along the way.

Not only are professors supportive, but also accessible, as many of them are integral parts of the community, leading the residential community as Faculty Deans in the Harvard Houses.

These relationships are what make the Harvard College experience so transformative – intellectually, socially, and personally. At every opportunity, you will find a wide range of advising resources to help you understand your options, plan your degree program, and make the most of your educational journey.

Freshman-to-advisor ratio

The undergraduate degree is designed with flexibility in mind. Students have one week at the beginning of each semester to "shop" or try out classes before officially registering. You don't need to declare a concentration until midway through Sophomore year, giving you ample time to explore.

You can study abroad (and bring your need-based financial aid with you), cross-register at most of Harvard's 10 graduate schools, or even take classes at nearby MIT.

At Harvard, your educational possibilities are limitless.
