As a Bucknell student, no matter your major, you can gain global perspectives through courses in languages and area studies spanning the world from the Middle East to East Asia, Russia, Latin America, Western Europe and the Francophone World. You’ll discover connections across disciplines and understand the cultural and societal context of your work.
Go Abroad. 45 percent of our students study off campus, immersing themselves in cultures different from their own and gaining experience with intercultural communication.
Semester and yearlong off-campus study locations include England, France, Ghana, Greece, Spain and Washington, D.C. Summer destinations include Bali, Barbados, the Caribbean, Denmark, Greece and Turkey, Japan, London, New Orleans, Nicaragua, Northern Ireland, South Africa and the Virgin Islands. International service trips run each year to places including Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
Apply What You Learn. 84 percent of seniors participated in an internship, co-op, field experience, student teaching or clinical placement, gaining experience to set the foundation for their careers.
