A Message from Columbia University
Thursday, February 18, 2016
Dear Diana,
As the Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid at Columbia University, I work with QuestBridge to help students attain their college dreams. I encourage you to explore all that QuestBridge has to offer and consider applying for the College Prep Scholars Program. The free application is due on March 23.
Your junior year is a great time to start thinking about your college search and application process, and the College Prep Scholars Program can assist you with your research and planning. Whether you attend a National College Admissions Conference (where you can meet admissions representatives from a wide range of schools, including Columbia), receive a full scholarship at a college summer program, or benefit from personalized college essay feedback, you will emerge with the preparation to apply to colleges with confidence.
Columbia’s partnership with QuestBridge is a natural complement to our identity as one of the most diverse college campuses nationwide, with a long history of civic engagement, activism, and access. We have seen many College Prep Scholars apply to Columbia and other extraordinary colleges successfully through the QuestBridge National College Match, through which high school seniors can be admitted with a full four-year scholarship.
Both Columbia University and QuestBridge believe that students like you have the potential to thrive at a competitive college or university. We hope you’ll open yourself to the possibilities of your educational future by learning about the College Prep Scholars Program today.
Sincerely,
Jessica Marinaccio Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid Columbia University
